FAQS

WHAT KIND OF CLAY IS MY PIECE MADE OF?

All my pieces are made from porcelain clay unless noted otherwise. (the marbled pieces, for instance) While it is a strong a durable clay, like all ceramics, it is inherently fragile in nature.

WHY IS THERE A FLAT SHIPPING RATE?

I use a flat shipping rate of $12 to cover shipping and handling. Each purchase is sent priority mail and double boxed to ensure its safety. Although I try to use recycled shipping material, pottery requires specific and durable protection. I usually pay more than $12 to ensure your piece arrives in tact.

I'M IN JACKSONVILLE, CAN I PICK UP INSTEAD OF PAYING FOR SHIPPING?

If you are local to Jacksonville or St. Augustine and want to pick up your piece, select LOCAL option at check out to schedule a pick up or delivery.

ARE YOUR ITEMS MICROWAVE AND DISHWASHER SAFE?

Yep! However, I do recommend washing pieces by hand due to the delicate nature of pottery. (I’d hate for your piece to get banged around in a dishwasher cycle) I hand-wash all my pieces to safeguard them as long as possible. All the glazes I use are commercial glazes that are 100% food safe.

ARE YOU OPEN TO CUSTOM ORDERS?

Yes but it depends on my current work load and the design idea. Please note the average turn around time for custom pieces is about a month. Please message me in the Contact Section or on Instagram @erincavanaghceramics

DO YOU SELL WHOLESALE?

Not at the moment, but please reach out to me and we can discuss ideas!

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY POTTERY BREAKS DURING SHIPMENT?

I package your pieces carefully with double boxing, but we know how shipping can be. If your piece breaks, chips or dings while being shipped, please contact me and I'll either refund or replace your item, depending on your preference. I do require proof of breakage in the form of a photo of the piece and box so I can file a claim with the postal service.

I BROKE MY PIECE. WHAT DO I DO?

Buy a new one! Due to the fragile nature of pottery, I am not responsible for any breakages unless it occurred during shipment.
